Visual Information Processing Device Operation and Management Guidelines

Young Poong Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) hereby informs customers who are visual data subjects and the Company’s employees about the Operation and Management Guidelines for CCTVs (hereinafter referred to as “Visual Data Processing Devices”). These guidelines outline the purposes and methods for which the visual data, photographed, collected, and processed by the Company, is operated and managed.

Article 1 (Grounds for the Installation of Visual Data Processing Devices and the Purposes Thereof)

The Company shall install and operate the visual data processing devices for the purposes of ensuring safety of customers and the Company’s employees, preventing crimes and protecting facilities in compliance with Article 25 (1) of the Personal Information Protection Act. Other specific purposes shall be as follows:

  1. Management of facilities and parking, safety management, and fire prevention;
  2. Access management and control of people and vehicles;
  3. Protection of business sites, and prevention of crimes, such as theft;
  4. Prevention of any unauthorized entry by outsiders.

Article 2 (Locations for the Installation of Visual Data Processing Devices)

The Company shall install visual data processing devices in the following locations in accordance with relevant laws.

  1. The locations for which security is required to ensure safety of the public and protect business secrets, such as main entrances through which people and vehicles enter and exit factories, lobbies, corridors, ground/underground parking lots, etc.;
  2. The locations for which prevention of crimes is required, such as walls that are the outer boundary of a business site;
  3. Other locations that are vulnerable to risks in terms of security, crime prevention, or safety.

Article 3 (Installation and Operation of Visual Data Processing Devices)

The visual data processing devices installed and operated by the Company shall be installed and operated limited to the cases where any specific and real risks may occur to safety, crime prevention, protection of facilities, etc. The number of visual data processing devices to be installed and operated may vary depending on the business sites of each region. Such visual data processing devices shall be individually installed and operated in due consideration of the characteristics and necessities of business sites.

Article 4 (Responsibility for the Management and Operation of Visual Data Processing Devices)

If you have any inquiries regarding visual data processing devices and visual data, you may contact the departments responsible for operational business affairs at each business site by region. You may refer to the following table to identify the operational departments established and managed at each business site by region.

Article 5 (Measures for Collecting and Protecting Visual Data and the Methods of Processing Thereof)

The Company shall not arbitrarily collect visual data or use recording functions for purposes other than those specified for installation under Article 1 herein. The collected and stored visual data shall be stored in the controlled areas to which any unauthorized access is strictly prohibited and managed using the security system equipped with a password and a locking device.

The Company shall keep the visual data photographed and collected using the visual data processing devices confidential or at a higher level of confidentiality. Arbitrary access and/or reproduction of (to) visual data and taking-out of such visual data off the company premises shall be prohibited.

Matters related to the use of personal visual data for purposes other than the purposes specified herein, offering such personal visual data to a third party, demands such as access to such data, and destruction of such data shall be recorded and managed. Visual data shall be permanently deleted upon the expiry of the storage period in a way that makes it impossible to restore such personal visual data.

Article 6 (Demand for Confirmation and Deletion of Personal Visual Data and Actions to be Taken)

If a data subject wishes to access, confirm, or delete personal visual data, he or she may at any time make a request to the person responsible for managing visual data processing devices at each business site.

However, such requests shall be limited to visual data in which the data subject is captured or personal visual data necessary for protecting the data subject’s life, body, or property. If a data subject requests access to or deletion of personal visual data, the Company shall act immediately, except in the following cases where such requests may be denied:

  1. Where personal visual data has been deleted upon the expiry of its storage period;
  2. Where access to or disclosure of visual data is likely to infringe upon another person’s privacy;
  3. Where providing access would materially disrupt the investigation of a crime, the maintenance of a public prosecution, or the conduct of a trial;
  4. Where the Company has valid reasons to reasonably deny a data subject’s request for access to and/or confirmation of personal visual data.

Article 7 (Public Notification of the Amendment of the Visual Data Processing Device Operation and Management Guidelines)

These Visual Data Processing Device Operation and Management Guidelines were established on April 1, 2025. If any amendment such as addition, deletion, or change is made in the Visual Data Processing Device Operation and Management Guidelines in accordance with the amendments of laws or policies or changes in security technologies, the reason for such amendments and the relevant content shall be publicly announced without delay in the Company website.
