Double Materiality Assessment
Materiality Assessment Process
Young Poong conducted a dual materiality assessment for 14 ESG issues closely related to its business, comprehensively analyzing both the ‘impact on the environment and society’ and the ‘impact of ESG issues on the company's financial value’.
This assessment quantitatively analyzed the impact each issue has on the environment and society, as well as the impact external factors have on Young Poong's economic value and risks. Materiality was determined based on the average absolute value of the positive and negative impacts for each factor. Subsequently, thresholds were set for both ‘impact materiality’ and ‘financial materiality’. Issues meeting or exceeding these thresholds were identified as Material Issues
As a result, a total of 10 material issues were ultimately selected. These issues are reported in detail regarding related activities and performance in accordance with the ISSB (International Sustainability Standards Board) framework. They are integrated into all management activities, aligned with Young Poong's sustainability management strategy and objectives. By transparently disclosing the materiality assessment results and the current status of responses to each issue, we aim to foster continuous communication with stakeholders and strengthen relationships based on trust.
